(AFP) - Angélina Jolie a annoncé mardi avoir subi une ablation préventive des ovaires et des trompes de Fallope par crainte du cancer.
L'actrice a fait cette annonce dans une lettre ouverte publiée par le New York Times, deux ans après avoir subi une ablation des seins pour prévenir un risque élevé de développer un cancer en raison de la présence d'un gène défectueux dont elle est porteuse. Angelina Jolie précise qu'elle s'était préparée depuis longtemps à cette intervention.
