The countdown is on for Luxembourg's Royal couple as only 100 days remain until their wedding.
Crown Prince Guillaume and Countess Stéphanie de Lannoy will tie the knot on October 20 in the cathedral Notre Dame.
And, as anyone who has planned a wedding knows, the list of preparations is lengthy. As well as caterers, menus and seating plans, the high-profile wedding will need some security measures in place.
Vic Reuter of the Luxembourg Police explained that as part of initial preparations, police rest days and holidays had been frozen to ensure sufficient staff for the two-day event.
“Work with all responsible sources that contribute to the organisation of the event is already underway,” he said, adding: “There have already been several meetings with people responsible for the organisation, including from the government or the metropolitan community.”
It is not clear just how many officers will be mobilised for the occasion, however.
The Royal Court did not comment on its preparations for the wedding.
