Check out Wort's 26-track Spotify Playlist:
Celebrated singer-songwriter Tori Amos returns with her hotly-anticipated new album 'Native Invaderand' this month as she kicks off her world tour. Tori’s confessional style of writing sees her continue to push boundaries with her music. Her messages of empowerment, tenderness, assertiveness and her utterly peerless sound speaks to audiences across the globe. Catch her live at den Atelier on September 10.
Iconic musical mavericks Sparks are set to release their new studio album 'Hippopotamus' the same day as Tori Amos (September 8) and it sees them take the pop form, shake it up, and create an album that is adventurous, fresh and idiosyncratically -- 'Sparks'. Described as "the smartest, most consistently evolving band in the history of rock", and internationally acclaimed as pop pioneers, Sparks' music has always been innovative and instantly identifiable. You’ll be able to catch the American art rockers set at den Atelier on September 15.
Also on September 15, Escher Kafé will host Australian music royalty with duo Dave Graney and Clare Moore who since the 80s have fronted numerous bands from 'The Moodists' to their 90s classics with 'Coral Snakes' and now most recently 'Dave Graney and The MistLY'. With a discography that goes back decades you’ll be sure to find some post punk sensibilities intertwined with some 70s grooves. They’ll be supported by Luxembourg based Georgio 'the Dove' Valentino who’ll bring his own dark and brooding sound to the evening.
Acclaimed, multi-platinum selling, Oscar, Golden Globe, and 10x Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter John Legend will return to Luxembourg as he takes to the Rockhal stage on September 23. Since the release of his latest album 'Darkness and Light,' back in December, Legend has co-produced and starred in the box office smash 'La La Land', and performed the title track to the recent remake of 'Beauty and the Beast' with Ariana Grande. So whilst his music flows over the air waves most days his vocals are also swooning us all in the big screen too.
Haley Heynderickx is coming back to Konrad’s after her triumphant full house concert last December. Her impressive mastery of guitar picking, a knack for effective composition and a heavenly voice are the three ingredients for a sweet musical cocktail and should not be missed on September 26.
Phoenix have the knack of flawlessly unifying the seemingly incompatible with their electro rhythms and pop hooks, the French stalwarts of indie pop returned with their 6th studio album 'Ti Amo' earlier in the year. Catch their infectious sound at Rockhal on September 28 and dance the night away to some Lisztomania.
