British and Irish films hit Utopia for special season

(CS) The British and Irish Film Season kicks off on Wednesday, with special screenings of nine dramas and comedies hailing from across the channel until October 10, and an Irish Club outing on Sunday.

The list of films on the playbill include:

  • Shadow Dancer
  • Now is good
  • Fast girls
  • Stella Days
  • The Decoy Bride
  • Weaverfish
  • The Awakening
  • Grabbers
  • Flanagan's Wake

Some of Britain and Ireland's most well-known talent, from Clive Owen and David Tennant to Kelly MacDonald and Dominic West will feature in the special selection.

On Sunday, September 30, the Irish Club will host a visit to Stella Days, starring Martin Sheen, Stephen Rea and Amy Huberman, in which a small town in 1950s Ireland struggles with tradition, faith and the modern day.
