The British section of the Luxembourg Guides and Rangers entered a 12-hour team in the Relais Pour la Vie for the first time last weekend.

A handful of youngsters from the two groups showed solidarity for people diagnosed with cancer by walking or running laps of the track at the Coque in Kirchberg, alongside hundreds of other people.

At the same time, Rainbow leaders and Guide young leaders offered face painting to boost funds raised for the Fondation Cancer.

In the past the British Guides and Rangers participated in the annual show of solidarity with the Ara City Radio team.

The British Guides are appealing for volunteers to help with the various groups, which currently include Rainbows (for young people aged five and over), Brownies, Guides and Rangers (aged 14 to 20 years old). If you are interested in helping out, email
