Top rating : S&P confirms AAA rating for Luxembourg

The New York-based agency S&P highlighted some of the risks Luxembourg faces, such as the need to further reform the pension system.

(pso/NG) The US financial agency Standard & Poor's (S&P) confirmed on Friday a AAA rating for the Grand Duchy with a stable outlook.

It's the highest rating that can be attributed. This guarantees the Luxembourg State funding opportunities under the best conditions .

According to Finance Minister Pierre Gramegna, "The risks highlighted by the analysis underscore the importance of continuing a proactive and prudent policy. The AAA rating is a cornerstone of the country's attractiveness and thus a guarantee of growth and job creation. "

Luxembourg has the best rating by the other two agencies, Moody's and Fitch.

S & P, however, highlighted a few risks, including the need to go further in pension reform.
