Einer neuen Umfrage zufolge kommt die rechtspopulistische Partei von Italiens Innenminister Matteo Salvini mittlerweile auf fast 34 Prozent.

(dpa) - Der Zuspruch für die rechtspopulistische Partei von Italiens Innenminister Matteo Salvini ist weiter gestiegen. Einer neuen Umfrage zufolge kommt die Partei mittlerweile auf fast 34 Prozent, wie die Zeitung „Corriere della Sera“ am Samstag unter Berufung auf Daten des Instituts IPSOS berichtete. Der Koalitionspartner, die Fünf-Sterne-Bewegung, liegt in der Wählergunst demnach bei 28,5 Prozent.

Bei der Parlamentswahl Anfang März hatten die Sterne mit mehr als 32 Prozent noch das beste Einzelergebnis unter den Parteien eingefahren, Salvinis Lega kam damals lediglich auf etwas mehr als 17 Prozent. Schon das war ein beträchtlicher Erfolg, erreichte die Partei als Lega Nord bei der Parlamentswahl 2013 gerade mal 4 Prozent. Sie profiliert sich vor allem wegen ihres harten Kurses in Migrationsfragen. Salvini gilt als starker Mann der Populisten-Regierung.
