(CS) The police has been busy with alcohol controls over the past days, confiscating several licences for drunk driving.

Around 4.30am on Thursday, a man witnessed a driver run into his car parked in the Rue des Bains. Together with a friend they were able to pursue the driver on foot who had to stop his car on the Boulevard Prince Henri due to a broken axle. An alcohol test was positive and the driver had his licence suspended.

Later on Thursday a man was seen driving past a stop sign. The driver was also speeding with 89km/h in direction of Limpertsberg. Police followed the car to a café where they met the driver who tested positive for alcohol.

Around 11.25pm a damaged lorry was discovered in Dudelange. The driver of the car was discovered drunk, lying in a nearby shrubbery. His licence was confiscated.

In the early hours of Friday a woman lost control over her car, crashing into a parked car which was hurled into a house wall. The woman tested positive for alcohol and her licence was suspended.
