Four years since his last Olympic Games appearance, Laurent Carnol is a different person. Stronger, more experienced and after smashing the Luxembourg national 200-metre breaststroke record, the 22-year-old chemistry student is rightly confident in his abilities.
Carnol breezed through the qualifiers last January and suggests that he is on target to be on top form at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
