Man dies in house fire

A man tragically died shortly after was he rescued from his smoke-filled home in Niederfeulen.

The resident was trapped in his bedroom when a fire broke out in the living room of the address in rue de la Fail.

Neighbours alerted firefighters when they spotted smoke coming from the home.

Firefighters were able to rescue the man from the room. However, the intervention came too late and the man died in the ambulance. The fire broke out shortly before 5pm on Saturday.
