(CS) A Luxembourg bus with 44 passengers on board was involved in an accident in Avaray, France, on Friday morning, with 22 reported injured.
Two of the injured are said to be seriously injured, with one suffering life-threatening injuries. The injured were brought to hospitals in Blois and Orléans.
All 44 passengers on board the "Voyages Simon" bus heading from Braga, Portugal, to Luxembourg are said to be of Portuguese origin.
Two drivers were on board the bus. Reports indicate that the driver operating the bus at the time of the accident may have fallen asleep, and he is being held by police. However, the cause of accident remains unknown at this point.
The accident occurred on the A10 around 8,20am in the Loir-et-Cher province.
French media reports state that no other vehicle was involved in the accident, which left the bus turned on its side.
