Fatal collision between man and train

A man was struck by a train and killed outright at Pétange station at around 3pm on Thursday.

According to police, the man was standing on the platform as a freight train entered the station from the direction of Rodange. Seconds later he was on the track.

The train driver was unable to brake in time and collided with the man.
