(CS) The Luxembourg City film festival Discovery Zone will return next year, after a successful 2012 instalment.

Discovery Zone 2013 will take place from February 28 to March 8.

The festival, which took place at the beginning of March this year, saw over 11,000 tickets sold for its screenings and events. With filmmakers and actors visiting the Grand Duchy to promote their films, the City was buzzing with delights for cinephiles of all ages.

The Jeune Public programme alone attracted around 3,000 children and teenagers, with special screenings and workshops bringing them closer to the art of the on-screen image.

While being a showcase for Luxembourg films, from shorts to feature and documentary films, the festival also brought international talent to the Grand Duchy, and films from as far afield as Japan, Iran and Samoa were screened over the course of the week-long festival.

But the festival did not stop at the cinema screen, with exhibits, events, talks and screenings spread across other venues in Luxembourg City, including the Cercle Cité, the contemporary art forum Casino Luxembourg, and the Mudam museum.

Film lovers can stay up-to-date with all the latest news on Facebook and Twitter, as preparations get underway for another year of Discovery Zone Luxembourg.
