Construction workers to strike in July

(CS/mas) Luxembourg union OGBL announced on Friday that construction workers would go on strike on July 17.

While not all votes by union members have come in, the OGBL said at a press conference that there had been overwhelming feedback so far in favour of a strike, with over 99 percent expressing their support.

The union intends to strike in light of collective bargaining negotiations, which have been ongoing for three years, without a result to date. Even the mediation office was unable to resolve the conflict.

However, the LCGB is generally opposed to strike action favouring protests instead.
