After-RAF: wort.lu interview with Rival Sons

“There is no higher calling in the world than music”

(IRA) The Rival Sons, from Long Beach, California, made their Rock-A-Field debut last weekend, introducing their rock'n'roll sound to the Luxembourgish crowd as the festival's opening act on the main stage.

The band, which has been touring for almost a year to promote its first label album “Pressure & Time”, stopped by Luxembourg to give the Grand Duchy a taste of their music and potentially increase their fan base.

In our final round of After-RAF interviews, frontman Jay Buchanan told wort.lu that an upcoming album, to be released this fall, could mean an imminent return of the Rival Sons to Luxembourg.

Interviewed by Eternal Tango guitarrist Joe Koener, Jay Buchanan opens up about the beginnings of the band, their “odd” relationship with the metal scene and how Rival Sons has changed with their new record, “Head Down”.
