15 days to go until the "Schueberfouer"

(CS) Luxembourg City's glacis parking is once again set to turn into a giant fun fair as the annual "Schueberfouer" kicks off on August 23.

The colourful sign for the fair is being mounted, and while the 672nd Schueberfouer promises nearly three weeks of fun, there will also be significant traffic disturbance in the built-up to and during the Fouer.

From August 9 onwards the Glacis car park will be closed for vehicles. Parking on the Boulevard Paul Eyschen along the Lycée Robert Schuman will also be forbidden, as well as parking in front of the Victor Hugo venue.

The City Shopping Bus will not run between the Glacis and the City centre for the duration of construction and the Fouer itself (August 9 to September 15).

On the City Night Bus CN1 service, the stops Glacis and Fondation Pescatore will be closed. The closest stop between August 9 and September 15 is Badanstalt.

Roads surrounding the Glacis will also be closed, starting August 9 with the Boulevard Prince Charles. For a full schedule of which roads will be closed when visit vdl.lu

For more information on what the Fouer has in store visit fouer.lu and don't forget that Luxembourg custom says the end of the Fouer marks the beginning of autumn...so let's hope for some more summer sunshine over the coming weeks!
