Hundreds of cute pooches expected for International Dog Show

(HP) Dogs lovers get ready because hundreds of pooches of all breeds are about to land in Luxexpo for the International Dog Show.

Competing in different classes, from junior puppy to veteran as well as by breed, the dogs will be in Kirchberg throughout the weekend.

A video live stream will also be running from the main ring from 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Any dog is welcome to go along, even without taking part in the competitions, but the owner must take the dog's vaccination booklet to show at the entrance.

Qualification for Crufts can also be given at the show to the CACIB ( Certificat d'Aptitude au Championat International de Beauté) male and female dogs and best young dogs.

Dogs can also compete for the Winner Benelux and Benelux Champion during the next show in September.

And to apply for the Luxembourg Champion title the owner should send a copy of the dog's pedigree and a copy of the CACL certificate to the Fédération Cynologique Luxembourgeoise (FCL).

Entries for the competitions this weekend are now closed.

The International Dog Show takes place from 8am on Saturday and Sunday at Luxexpo in Kirchberg and judging starts from 9.30am.
