(CS) With Christmas just over a month away preparations for the festive season in Luxembourg City are in full swing, and the capital's giant Christmas tree was erected in Place d'Armes on Monday morning.

The conifer was still lacking its festive garb of lights just after it was set up, but a crew immediately got to work to decorate the tree with super-sized fairy lights.

After all, everything needs to be ready for the opening of the Luxembourg Christmas market on November 30, which will take place in Place d'Armes, as well as offering more stalls, a carousel and a Ferris wheel in Place de la Constitution.
