Grand Ducal couple visit Melk Abbey on third day of Austrian visit

(RM) On the third day of their state visit to Austria, the Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa visited the Austrian benedictine abbey of Melk.

Luxembourg's Royals visited the permanent exhibition on display at the Abbey, where they learnt about the history of the monastery as well as its treasures.

Shortly afterwards, the Grand Ducal couple made a tour of the Marble Hall, the library and the Church where they attended an organ concert.

Later in the day, the official delegation were set to travel to the Mauthausen concentration camp, where the Duke and Duchess will lay a wreath in memory of sixty Luxembourgers who died there.
