(JB) Revellers celebrating Luxembourg's Royal Wedding this October will have plenty of opportunities to celebrate when bars in the Capital are to be issued late licences.

The eagerly-awaited wedding of Crown Prince Guillaume to Countess Stephanie de Lannoy takes place on October 20 this year with a civil ceremony the day before.

While the guest list for the service in the Cathedral Notre Dame remains somewhat exclusive, residents and visitors will be able to join in the party as bars and cafés will be allowed to remain open until 3am that night. There will be no chance of missing the action too as the cathedral service is to be broadcast on giant screens placed around Place Guillaume II.

The special arrangements are to be put in place by the Ville de Luxembourg. City mayor Xavier Bettel, however, says that discussions are underway to decide whether or not to hold a fireworks display for the occasion.
