Luxembourg’s first aviation museum opens doors

At 5pm on Friday the "Lëtzebuerger Fligermusée" opens it's doors in Mondorf-les-Bains

(ADW) At 5pm on Friday, the doors will open on "Lëtzebuerger Fligermusée" or Luxembourg Flight Museum, the first of its kind in the Grand Duchy, located in the Thermal Park of  Mondorf-les-Bains.

On two floors of a glass building, all kinds of aviation marvels will be on display be it sport related, such as parachuting, ballooning, model aircraft etc, or the history of aviation. Stamps dating back to 1909 will be on display as well as old memorabilia and of course aircraft.

The commercial sector has not been forgotten with Luxair and Cargolux exhibits.

Also on display is a weather station, a variety ofaircraftengines, a radarstationand you can also listen to real recordings ofconversationsbetweenpilots andthe airport control tower.
