A bit of Venice for the Grand Ducal couple

(CS) Luxembourg's Grand Duke and Grand Duchess continued their tour of Luxembourg's museums and stopped by the Mudam for a guided tour of The Venice Biennale Projects 1988-2011 exhibition.

Together with Jacques Santer and Culture Minister Octavie Modert the Royal couple was greeted by Mudam director Enrico Lunghi, who led the group on a tour of the museum.

The Venice Biennale Projects exhibition compiles all 12 entries of the Grand Duchy to the Venice Biennale contemporary art festival. It forms part of the Atelier Luxembourg initiative which spans across several Luxembourg venues in a bid to show the development of artistic creation in Luxembourg since 1945.

The exhibition is ongoing until February 24, 2013, offering audiences a snapshot of contemporary art in Luxembourg through the years.

Next week, the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess are set to visit the Casino Luxembourg, a contemporary art forum currently serving as a workshop space for several young artists.
