One of Scotland's most important festivals is to be celebrated in style in Luxembourg with authentic dancing, bagpipes and traditional food.

St Andrew's day, on November 30, is the feast day of Scotland's Patron Saint and is marked with a bank holiday in Scotland.

While there will be no holiday in Luxembourg, those who wish to celebrate can join in the festivities at the British Embassy Residence where the Scottish Association of Luxembourg is organising a party.

The evening kicks-off at 7pm with a cocktail, followed by music from the Luxembourg Pipe Band and dancing by members of the Luxembourg Scottish Country Dance Club.

There will also be a chance for brave guests to join in the dancing and work up an appetite for the walking buffet, which includes mouthwatering treats such as haggis rolls and Scottish smoked salmon.

Entry to the party is 35 euros and the event is open to all people, regardless of nationality.
